Composer and church musician Douglas Brown (b. 1970) is a 2010 graduate of Wayland Baptist University, receiving a bachelor's degree with a concentration in Music Theory & Composition. He served three terms as president of the Wayland student chapter of the Society of Composers, Inc., and is proud to have studied for eight semesters under the tutelage of composer Gary D. Belshaw.
Mr. Brown is currently in graduate studies at Houghton College, where he studies under Sun Mi Ro and David Davies in pursuit of a master's degree in music composition.
He has been married for over ten years to Jennifer Berryman Brown, who has a master’s degree in music from Stephen F. Austin State University and teaches music classes for Wayland Baptist University’s Virtual Campus, plus private voice and piano in their home.
